in hong kong, kids grow up in a complicated and competitive environment to hope for an edge of others, so parents would spend as much as poosble to push their kids into piano, dancing class, or even table tennis just for getting into better school. But there is no good school in HK, in my opinion. The only time you would say good school is where kids are learning in a relax environment and be happy.
IMHO, you don't talk about good school until you get to university level. From kindergarden to high school, parents should just let their kids develop the interest on their own, with the help of teachers. Parents should then relaize what they kids good at and lead them to that direction . Not everyone are born to be good at academics. But everyone should, at least, learn to be humble and polite when they deal with different situations, which is far more imprtant getting an "A" from a class. HK education has failed their people. Speaking from years of experience living in USA.
